Our resident musician Mitko Pazpaldzhiev has been a professional musician for over 25 years.  He started playing piano at the age of nine and on leaving school he studied at the College for Applied Arts in Kotel during which time he played in several school bands.

In 1984 he started playing professionaly in Germany and Norway and is still invited to play in both countries a couple of times a year.

He spent several years working with Kristal and his band until 2004 writing and arranging songs for more than ten successful albums.

In 2004 he joined up with Phil at Yamjam and the combination of both their skills and professionalism helped to make YamJam a successful studio.

One of their first projects in Bulgaria was an album for Nedzhalko, a Bulgarian entertainer from Yambol.   This was the first collaboration between Mitko and Phil and resulted in  a Number 1 and  two Number 3 hits in the Bulgarian charts.

All the tracks below started as ideas and the music was composed and arranged by Mitko and produced by Phil.

Phil Rose's interest in music, electronics and sound started in the early 60's when as a teenager, he received his first guitar.

On leaving school he went to work for a company building and installing PA rigs and disco equipment and learned all about the nuts and bolts of the business.

In the mid 70's he started to tour with bands and other artists doing the sound at gigs.

In 1983 he established "Barking Spiders" in Nottingham, England, his first studio.  Using an Allen and Heath desk and a Tascam four track tape recorder, he produced many singles and albums (vinyl in those days)  for local artists.

Always being one to experiment, in the early 90's, as it became within his reach, he equipped his studio with digital recording equipment.  An Apple Mac, Yamaha digital mixer and MOTU Performer.

On moving to Bulgaria in 2003, he packed his studio and guitar collection in a box and took it with him.  Since then of course, much of the equipment has been upgraded.
